The honeymoon is over, now what?

Let me guess... You started your business because you wanted financial freedom but you've stopped listening to the weekly calls, stopped making lists of people to contact to host parties or do your sales pitch to. You post about it a few times a week but now instead of saying " I sell this, would you like to learn more?" It has now turned into "I sell this on the side..."

When did becoming financially free become a hobby? You were gun hoe about your business, you passed out your business cards to everyone you met, you were handing out samples like you were Oprah around Christmas. You get a sample, you get a sample, everyone gets samples!

Now if someone asks for a card you dig through your purse for 20 minutes just to end up scribbling your number on a Kleenex, because it seems professional enough, right?

So now that the honeymoon with your business is over... It's time to rekindle that love.

First, make a list of the reasons why you started your business in the first place. Second, make your dream board. Hell, take a day off work just to practice what it would be like to control your own time. Third, make a new list...not of the people you contact everyday but of the people you haven't talked to in awhile, the people who haven't been burned out by all your Facebook posts. The people where you wonder where they even are now. Then, start finding unique places to put your link and info about your business so that it is always visible, your email signature, cover photo, awards at work, pictures of you with friends at events sponsored by your company, pass out discounts with little thank you notes to service people like hairstylists, waitresses, door men, etc.

Use your business to your advantage to create new relationships. Try to come up with a new way to promote every week, challenge yourself and grow!

As the Porters once said, "you can make a million dollars or a million excuses," which one is it going to be?
